Photos: Luis Gispert/Mary Boone Gallery

For the past two years artist Luis Gispert has spent his time discovering the "luxuries" behind car clubs and personal items. His interest began in 2009 as many car fanatics began obsessing over the beauty of the logo. Or rather the significance. The interiors of these cars have been transformed into a logo machine, being driven as two brands rather than one. Though with the issues of counterfeit going on around the world, these car owners view their cars as personal art, and not as an imitation of high fashion design.

Knocked Off with Skechers

Earlier today while I was watching the girls chat it up on The View, I came across a BOBS commercial. I guess this is old news but I never knew Skechers (which according to their commercial is the second largest footwear company iN THE WORLD!!! WOW SKECHERS WOW) was still a relevant brand today. But I should have known as they have stores opened in local malls, City Walk, and also carry a shoe display at Costco. I definitely should have known. The success of the Shape Ups have led them into their next moneymaker ($$$$) a knock off of the TOMS alpargata design. Skechers was so sweet and decided they wanted to help out the kids living in poverty too! They even decided they wanted to use the same method in which to help (every product sold, a person in need is helped). So Sweet. They even decided they wanted to use a similar design!!! AWWW and even come up with a short and simple name. BOBS. enough getting upset, I guess it was a nice gesture.

Inside Rebecca Minkoff's Los Feliz Shop

before I make this a Kate Middleton blog, something great happened this weekend! As a new fan to Rebecca Minkoff and a loyal girl to her MAC clutch, I am happy to hear she has her own store now in Los Feliz. As many designers are removing themselves from the bricks and mortars concept, Rebecca took the opposite direction and headed inside Confederacy! Located in Los Feliz, she debuted her ready to wear and accessories collection as a store within a store concept. The look is simple and clean, with minimal pieces and handbags galore. Before I try to get inside, I found some pictures from within the store.

Kate in LA

This weekend Kate came down from England to LA for a Royal Visit. Out of all the states, they chose sunny California to come and get a good feel for America. They went to Skid Row, a Polo Match in Santa Barbara, and even met Jennifer Lopez. Quintessential Los Angeles
Here's what she looked like

I've seen this trend mostly on blogs. I don't know who started it first, but the first one I remember was the Dany. I doubt Jimmy Choo would knock her off but I know it was a bigger brand who started it first. Wish I could figure it out..... hmmmmmm

Red Sole vs. Red Soul

Who wins? I say Christian needs to calm down cause Loubie fans are not going to be shelling out $500 on knockoff YSL red soles, even if YSL did it first. But for 1 million dollars, maybe he has some reasoning... hmmm the never ending shoe war

Germany's Labelux (owners of Bally and Derek Lam) buy out Jimmy Choo. Valued around 890 MILLION DOLLARS, Tamara Mellon's Choo was sold in a time of success for the brand. Labelux's plans include increasing Jimmy Choo's presence in China and adding more product to men's shoes and lady's handbags. MMHMM!!

I don't know why this seems so perfect. Actually I do. First it was Lindsay Wixson, then (14) now it is True Grit's Hailee. After numerous appearances in both Prada and Miu Miu, she is the newest face for the Miu Miu 11/12 Fall/Winter collection. Yay!

The Royal Weddding

The wedding of the year came and went. And so did my memory!! What was all the fuss about? Then I found these wonderful pictures. Kate to me is beyond perfect. Like dictionary definition perfect. Before I ramble on about how poised and perfect Katie is, I mean Kate, I guess Catherine, I will simply show my favorite pictures of some guests from her big day!

Coachella!

For the past two years I've been attending Coachella..... this year was different. I had a job and bought my tickets too late with hesitation for getting time off. By the time I had officially decided, tickets were sold out..... Making it worse my favorite band (KOL..embarrassing..) were going to be there, and so was Kanye. and so was everyone else. Making it even worse one of my closest friends was going, who hadnt gone in the past with me.

Anyways the real reason I REALLY wanted to go was to bake in the Indio heat and wear clothes I'll only wear @ Coachella. Here's what I'd get.

COACHELLA

If I had the $$$

Day 1: Wildfox Tee - $60
DVF Lace Shorts - $259
Day 2: DVF Tank - $125
J Brand Shorts - $198
Day 3: Alice + Olivia Dress - $185

Accessories

Miu Miu Gladiators - $225

H&M Shorts
Day 3: F21 Dress- $28

Parfums

I need a new perfume! After holding on to my Juicy Couture for as long as I could, it is now time for me to move on. I have discovered these wonderful new ones but am still so confused as to which is best for me. I would hate to love a scent so much only to know it doesn't smell that great to others.
Here are my options
Photobucket
Miss Dior Cherie. I have to say it is my favorite of them all. Everything from the ad campaign which featured the pretty french girl floating above the Eiffel Tower with balloons to carry her up. Now Natalie Portman is the face of Miss Dior which makes me love it even more. I love the bottle design, the packing and everything it stands for. The only problem is I feel the scent smells better not on me:/
Photobucket
Daisy has never appealed to me. The only time it really did was when a retailer was doing a gift with purchase for Daisy and you got the cutest Marc Jacobs tote with it. Anyways Eau So Fresh is different. Its more spring..y, light weight, fresh, happy, without being too serious. Only problem is I heard it fades too fast!
Photobucket
My dear Hanae Mori, a Japanese brand which was recomended by a friend. I love love but I feel like it smells similar to Flower Bomb which I already own. & Also to me doesn't smell to day time. HMMMMMMMMMM......
Photobucket
Being so confused I might just end up with my friend reliable Juicy. Or I could try a different kind like Viva La Juicy or Couture Couture......
All these fragrances can be purchased online or in department stores..
Oh & I've never been so confused.

Wearing: Vince top, JBrand Power Stretch Legging, Aqua Necklace, and my fav and only Michael Kors Purse

I attended Natalie Off Duty's MANGO Event at Third Street Promenade this past Friday. It was a fun event considering I never go to anything fashion related, so I brought my friend Ashleigh with me... We talk fashion for days so it made the expierence even better. I just met Natalie & Dylana a week ago at my local mall and they were sweet enough to invite me to go. I loveee their blog and have been reading it for quite some time.
here is their link:

In the first pictures I'm wearing all Mango. We were supposed to style an outfit to be entered to win a 500$$$$ Mango Gift Card!!! Sadly I did not win, but I did win really. I fell in love with the cable knit sweater I was wearing and purchased it in the brighter peachy color. So perfect, cropped, and a wonderful 30% off:)
